The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM), in cooperation with the Sea Glass and Ocean Arts Festival, will host the last summer Sea Glass Pop-Up, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 on the museum patio overlooking the harbor.
The Santa Barbara Sea Glass & Ocean Arts Festival, which is traditionally held each year in September, has been cancelled for 2022. Its organizers will hold an event at the Carpinteria Arts Center on Nov. 19, and a select number of the artists will be at the Maritime Museum on Aug. 13.
Summer Sea Glass Pop-Ups feature handmade, ocean-themed art and authentic sea glass jewelry.
Each year, the festival designates a nonprofit recipient to receive part of the proceeds. This year, SBMM will receive some of the proceeds to help it continue offering educational programs at no cost to students who attend Title I schools and after-school programs for low-income populations.
