The Friends of the Library of SYV would like to invite you to a reception honoring Carey McKinnon as we celebrate her retirement and her years of service to the community. The reception will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12th from 3-5 pm in the courtroom across the hall from Solvang Library.

Carey McKinnon, Supervisor of the Solvang, Los Olivos, and Santa Ynez Libraries, will be retiring on December 14th after 25 years of laudable and innovative service to area patrons. Carey’s creativity and commitment has spanned programming, collection management, and reference services for all ages, and her leadership and example for her team have fostered a welcoming and connected environment for patrons.
