Kid Craft - Bee Baths at the CA Nature Art Museum

What is a "bee bath?" A bee bath is a small, shallow dish that is placed outside and regularly filled with fresh, clean water in order to provide safe drinking places for bees.

Join the California Nature Art Museum & Community Clayworks for a Kid Craft art workshop on Sunday, June 9th 2024 from 3:00PM- 5:00PM at the Museum, creating bee baths for the home garden. Students will create a flower in full-bloom and sculpt critters like ladybugs and snails as landing spots for the bees, and then paint their pieces with colorful underglazes. Completed bee baths will be taken back to the Community Clayworks studio for firing and clear glazing, and approximately two weeks later, will be available for pick up in-person at the Museum or can be shipped by request (for an additional fee).

Advance registration is required, 16 attendees max.
