Jamboree - Ballard

It’s Jamboree time, folks! Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 21st for some old-fashioned family fun! Think three-legged sack races, carnival games, petting zoo, 1800s attire, and the largest game of Musical Chairs on the Central Coast!

Additionally, we’ll have two new additions this year:

- Schoolhouse Vintage Pop-Up Shop … think luxe rummage sale with fine furniture, art, household decor, vintage collectibles, and more! (Do you have something to donate? Message us! We are looking for items with at least a $100 value or more.) Shop great deals on fine furnishings AND help support Ballard School!

- Pizza and Wine After-Party at the Ballard Inn. Skip cooking dinner! Bring the kids! It will be a great way to end a memorable day. After-Party tickets will be available at checkout as an add-on to your Jamboree tickets.

We are looking for volunteers, wine donations, and rummage sale donations! Message us for more info or visit www.BallardPTA.org.

Evie Tubbs Sweeney, “One of the most epic kids' experiences in the Valley... the Old-Time Ballard Jamboree on Sunday, April 21st from 12pm-4pm. If you've never been, it's an off-the-charts experience for kids that replicates an old-fashioned carnival from the 1800s. The event is first-class, offering everything from old-fashioned carnival games to three-legged races, tug-of-wars, and more. To participate, simply purchase a punch card for your kid(s) online to use for all the games and some additional special treat areas. Kids earn "Jamboree Bucks" at each experience that can be used to purchase quality prizes at The Mercantile, a beautiful room of quality wooden toys and games (no plastic here!) they can redeem their Jamboree Bucks for. Something that makes it extra magical for kids is that most attendees dress up in 1800s attire… it feels so authentic!”

... “Not to mention so many other fun things for kids and adults such as:

  • BBQ Lunch & Live Music

  • Largest Game of Musical Chairs on the Central Coast!

  • Snow-Cones, Sweets & Treats

  • Petting Zoo

  • Pie-Baking Contest!

  • School House Museum Open for Walkthroughs

  • Schoolhouse Vintage Pop-Up Shop (think onsite Ballard Estate Sale)

  • Pizza & Wine After-Party at the nearby Ballard Inn (optional)

It’s such an enormous event with loads of fun activities that I highly recommend checking out the website to get a better overall feel of what it entails: www.ballardpta.org/jamboree

This bi-annual event is open to ALL Valley families! It is Ballard School’s primary fundraiser for the year. Every penny of your Jamboree purchase directly funds the school’s programs, garden, and other needs (such as a new roof!).

For those who would like to support our school but not attend the event, check out our online auction with bespoke packages and bucket list experiences.”
