Clean out Bulky Trash - Quarterly Event

Solvang residents can get rid of their household trash, scrap metal, green waste, wood and bulk items for free at Waste Management's quarterly clean up event. In addition to the February 19 event, WM has also scheduled future cleanup events this year on May 21, August 20, and November 19. Solvang Residents, get rid of your household trash, scrap metal, green waste, wood and bulky waste the responsible Way — and for FREE!

Saturday, 8:00AM to Noon
Public Parking Lot 4 on Oak Street
Household trash (bagged or boxed, not loose)
Acceptable v Green Waste (separated from trash)
"EH15: v Scrap Metal (any motor will need to be free of gasoline or oil) v
Wood (no treated wood, i.e.- railroad ties)
Bulky Waste (unusable furniture, mattresses, large items, etc.)

NOTE: Event for residential customers only. Customers required to bring a picture ID and WM bill with matching address to participate.

Got Special or Hazardous Waste? Certain Hazardous waste will be accepted during this event. Residents may dispose of household hazardous waste such as used motor oil (5 gal. and container size limit), oil filters (10 lb. limit), vehicle batteries (10 ea. limit), latex paint (5 gal. and container size limit), consumer batteries (taped ends), computer monitors (unbroken screens), televisions (unbroken screens), electronic waste, and appliances. These household hazardous waste items can also be taken to the Health Sanitation Service (HSS) Recycling Center located at 97 Commerce Drive in Buellton. The HSS Recycling Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
